Welcome to the new blog series “Discover Your Essence to Build the Life You Want!”
Have you ever found yourself overwhelmed and lost, questioning yourself to find out what you really want your life to look like, and being totally unable to even start answering this question? I have been there, and it took me sooo long to start finding out how I wanted to shape my life.
As you know, we usually have a pretty good knowledge of what we don’t want. And this is already a good start. Knowing exactly what we want, on the other hand, can be really hard to define.
Through my journey of becoming a professional life and career coach, I discovered that this is a common struggle. Many of us are more in tune with our dislikes and discomforts rather than our true desires. This understanding is a critical first step because it helps us clear the clutter and focus on what really matters.
The Challenge of Defining What You Want
Understanding what you want is more than just making a list of goals. It’s about delving deep into your essence, uncovering your core values, and recognizing what truly brings you joy and fulfillment. This process requires introspection and honesty, as it often involves challenging our preconceived notions and societal expectations.
My Journey of Self-Discovery
In my own journey, the turning point came when I started my training to become a certified Mastercoach. The rigorous training and practical experience helped me develop a structured approach to self-discovery. I learned to ask the right questions, use effective tools, and follow a systematic process that not only clarified my own goals but also made this journey quicker and more enjoyable for my clients.
Benefits of knowing what you want?
Knowing what you want provides a sense of direction and purpose. It empowers you to make decisions that align with your true self, leading to greater satisfaction and fulfillment. You become proactive in creating the life you envision, rather than reacting to circumstances.
Tools and Techniques for Self-Discovery
